About Me

For over 30 years, I have worked in a variety of settings to help children, teens, adults and families handle difficult issues, develop stronger relationships, and expand the possibilities of their lives. I believe that people have the power to change their lives, and I work to assist clients to harness their strengths in pursuit of personal goals.

I have extensive experience and training in adolescent and child development, adoption and foster care, grief and bereavement, and sexual abuse and trauma treatment. I have worked for over 30 years with youth and their families in foster care and adoption agencies, community mental health agencies, and Child Protective Services.

My overall framework for therapy is a family systems approach. Using this approach, we will explore your interactions with the people in your life: your family, your school or work, and your community. I believe in an eclectic approach to counseling, utilizing approaches that fit the person.

As your counselor, I will provide a safe and confidential setting for you to handle the difficult issues you face. I am diligent in ensuring you have the highest levels of care, respect, and confidentiality.
